Terms of Service as of May 12th 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the City Daily Photo mobile application, website, services, and related features (collectively, the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Overview

City Daily Photo is a worldwide photo-sharing community where users may view, contribute, and discuss photographs representing cities, towns, events, people, architecture, culture, nature, and everyday life.

Users of the Service may include:

  • Viewers — individuals who browse and interact with content.
  • Contributors — individuals who upload photographs, titles, descriptions, comments, or related materials.

If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

2. Eligibility

You must comply with all applicable laws and Apple App Store requirements when using the Service.

By using the Service, you represent that:

3. Contributor Content Standards

Contributors are responsible for all content they publish, including photographs, titles, captions, descriptions, comments, usernames, and links.

Contributors agree NOT to publish content that:

  • Has an X, explicit adult, or pornographic parental guidance rating.
  • Contains nudity intended for sexual gratification.
  • Is hateful, abusive, harassing, discriminatory, or threatening.
  • Promotes violence, terrorism, criminal activity, or self-harm.
  • Contains graphic gore or extreme violence.
  • Violates the privacy or rights of others.
  • Infringes copyrights, trademarks, or other intellectual property rights.
  • Contains spam, malware, deceptive links, or fraudulent content.
  • Violates Apple App Store policies or applicable laws.

We reserve the right to remove content or suspend accounts at our sole discretion.

4. Community Guidelines

City Daily Photo encourages a respectful worldwide photography community.

Our preferred community practices include:

  • Post one photo each day, and preferably only one daily post so the portal does not become overloaded.
  • Upload photographs taken by you or used with appropriate permission and attribution.
  • Include text describing the photograph, event, location, or situation.
  • Contributors may post in the language of their city or region. English is encouraged because it is understood by many visitors.
  • Contributors are encouraged to photograph and represent cities where they live or have meaningful connection.
  • Include the city name in the name of your blog or contributor profile where appropriate.
  • Participate in the monthly Theme Day on the first day of each month.
  • Missing a day of posting is acceptable; content will resume when new material is posted.
  • Support the community by visiting and interacting with other contributors.

These guidelines are encouraged community practices and are not strict posting requirements unless otherwise stated.

5. Content Ownership and License

You retain ownership of content you submit.

By uploading content to the Service, you grant City Daily Photo a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to:

  • Host
  • Store
  • Display
  • Reproduce
  • Distribute
  • Promote
  • Adapt formatting for display

solely for operating, improving, and promoting the Service.

You represent that you have all necessary rights to upload and share the content.

6. Moderation and Removal Rights

City Daily Photo reserves the right to:

  • Refuse or remove any content, contributor, or blog for any reason.
  • Limit visibility of content.
  • Suspend or terminate accounts.
  • Remove content that violates these Terms or community standards.

We may take these actions without prior notice.

We are not obligated to provide explanations regarding moderation decisions.

7. Reporting Content

Users may report content they believe violates these Terms.

Reported content may be reviewed by moderators, automated systems, or both.

Submission of a report does not guarantee removal of content.

8. Viewer Responsibilities

Viewers agree to:
